As you may have seen, I have a wonderful opportunity to march my first season of Drum Corps this summer! This is something I have thought, dreamed and planned on doing since I first started my involvement with the marching arts activity in 2009. I am so very grateful and honored to have been offered the spot as the 2014 section leader for Pioneer Drum & Bugle Corps bass line.
From May 23-August 10th I will be living, practicing, traveling, and competing with Pioneer as an ensemble. They provide somewhere for us to sleep, food to eat, buses to travel on, and a high level of education in the marching arts from some of the world’s best. In order for all of this (and more) to happen, the members are asked to pay tour fee’s for the season, to keep the ensemble functioning.
In total Pioneer’s tour fees are over $2000. I am doing my best to raise as much as I can, but could use some help. If you are interested in helping me fulfill this dream, here is a link where you can donate to my fund: http://www.gofundme.com/7t4dhw and if you would like to donate in other ways (such as mail) feel free to message me here. Every little bit helps and makes a difference!
In case you didn’t know what Drum Corps was prior to this, here is a video of Pioneer last summer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fb4ji7cZAg
If you are interested in seeing what your contributions are helping towards, I will be performing with Pioneer at Bowling Green State University on June 22nd, and here is the link to our full tour schedule: http://www.dci.org/schedule/?mode=corps&corps=Pioneer , I would love to see you out there!
Thank you so much for your assistance and consideration!
